CRIME OF THE WEEK:  A Brewster Road, Scarsdale resident called police to report an African-American man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt entering a residence under construction. The man turned out to be the homeowner. Dec. 23.

LARCENY

A Helena Avenue resident reported that packages, containing merchandise valued at $450, which had been delivered the previous day, had been removed from the porch of the residence. Dec 18.

 

LARCENY

 

A Deane Place resident reported that he had sent a check in the amount of $15,000 to an account in Thailand in reference to a business deal which he later discovered to be fraudulent. Dec. 22.

 

TOWN OF MAMARONECK

GRAND LARCENY

Someone stole a Hewlett Packard toner cartridge worth $4,000 from Staples on Boston Post Road. Dec. 23.

 

VILLAGE OF MAMARONECK

 ATTEMPTED LARCENY

Someone reportedly tried to steal tires from a vehicle on the 1300 block of Boston Post Road. Dec. 23.

 

LARCENY

A Mamaroneck resident reported $5,000 worth of unauthorized online purchases on a credit card. Dec. 23.

 LARCENY

A Mamaroneck resident reported $575 of unauthorized debit card transactions. Dec. 23.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Three Mamaroneck men were arrested for disorderly conduct on Christmas afternoon.  Dec. 25.

DISPUTE

A 24-year-old Mamaroneck man reported being assaulted by two other men who fled before police arrived. The man refused medical attention.Dec. 25.

A Rye Middle School student reported a white North Face jacket and calculator stolen from her locked locker during gym class.  Dec. 20.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

A Milton Road building superintendent reported wires providing cable service to the building cut. Dec. 28.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT

A Brittany Close resident reported seeing a coyote walking the neighborhood. Dec. 20.

LARCENY

A White Road resident reported a license plate stolen off a car parked in a driveway. Dec. 21.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

Police told a group of kids congregated around the Freightway Garage to move on.  They did. Dec. 22.
