Polly Kreisman is a 15-time Emmy award winning television and print journalist. A Cornell grad, she has been writing, producing and reporting professionally for over 20 years.  She recognized a clear need in 2007 in these interwoven communities for a reliable, sophisticated source of real-time news that leverages many of the exciting new platforms that have transformed media.  

Polly is now recognized as a leader in the hyperlocal movement, having just completed a Fellowship in entrepreneurial journalism at the Knight Media Digital Center at USC.
