Assault at School

A 16 year old New Rochelle High School student was attacked by another student . . . 

 

 

while playing basketball in the school gym Friday morning.   The victim’s mother, rather than the school, reported to police the following day that her son was confronted by another student and punched in the jaw.  

After going to Sound Shore Medical Center, the victim was taken by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center where he received surgery for a broken jaw.  

New Rochelle police Captain Joseph Schaller tells theLoop that the incident is under investigation.

TheLoop has been unable to reach the New Rochelle schools for comment.
