Back to School in Rye: as Burglars

Two Rye High School students and one former student were arrested around 11:40 p.m. on April 30 after allegedly breaking into the high school and taking several items from lockers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Laura H. Cxxxx, 17, of 25 Oakwood Avenue, Amanda C. Rxxx, 18, of 2 Rectory Street, and Brittany A. Bxxxx, 17, of 7 Winslow Circle in Tuckahoe,  (names hidden by theLoop)  were charged with third-degree burglary and petty larceny.

 

According to police, the three girls had taken a bass guitar, a guitar case, a Cannon strobe flash and several items of clothing and stashed them in a hallway to retrieve later. Police said the teens had gone through several hallway lockers and collected things along the way. The stolen items had an estimated value of $360.

 

Police, responding to several alarms inside the school, surrounded the building and noticed an open window near the band room. They  were waiting for the suspects when they exited the school at 2 Parsons Street.

 

After their arrest, the teens were sent to Westchester County jail. The three made their initial court appearance on May 4 and are due back in Rye City Court on May 25.
