Thursday, Jan. 13:    One year after the massively destructive earthquake in Haiti, a group of Larchmont moms is rallying the community to help their Haitian counterparts by “Restoring Hope 1 Woman at a Time.”

Inspired by local resident Sandra Wong Geroux, who captured in photos the plight of women who lost limbs in the quake, the group will hold a fundraiser Thursday, Jan. 13 at Larchmont Temple with the goal of raising $3,000 – enough to provide one woman with an artificial limb.

Individuals interested in donating to this cause can do so at www.vvhf.org by clicking the “Donate” button, and select “HAMA project” under Program Designation.
