Mamaroneck Shares FAQ

Have questions about Mamaroneck Shares and the three street fairs this summer on Mamaroneck Avenue? We have answers.

What is Mamaroneck Shares?

Mamaroneck Shares is a 3 night event (June 24, July 29 and August 19) to bring people into the Village and help 3 local charities (Community Action Program, Community Counseling Center and Keep aBreast in support of Susan G Komen Race for the Cure).  Mamaroneck Avenue will be closed to traffic from 7pm to 11pm from Halstead Ave. to the Boston Post Road.  Local Mamaroneck businesses will be in front of their stores or on the sidewalks selling food, drinks and other items. There will be music and other entertainment for adults and children.  One big block party!

What about administrative overhead?

There isn’t any – all people involved are volunteering.  The only costs are for some entertainment and materials.  Almost 100% of the funds raised will go to charity.

Is this an official Village event?

This event is not sponsored by the Village, but Village officials have been members of the planning committee and are doing whatever they can to help make Mamaroneck Shares a huge success.

Where do I park?

Parking is available at the train station and Harbor Island Park.  Buses will be provided.

Where do I get a wristband and what’s it for?

Mamaroneck Shares bracelets are for sale throughout the Village and will be available all 3 nights.  The proceeds are supporting the 3 charities.

Who do I contact if I want to contribute or have a table?  Katie Boyd:  katelinboyd@gmail.com

There will also be a fitness obstacle course set up for kids and adults alike teaching the importance of proper nutrition and staying active. There will also be a storyteller and a make your own name bracelet for the kids! There is no charge for admission.
