Barry Ellis Lerner, passed away January 2, 2011 at age 76.Born January 26, 1934 in New York City to Max and Ada Lerner. Barry was aPodiatrist as well as an Attorney. Survived by his beloved wife Elaine,cherished daughters, Sherry Lerner-Barret of California, Lisa Lerner-Miller ofCalifornia, Michelle Lerner of Rye, adoring grandson Max Joseph Miller ofCalifornia, and a friend Paul Miller. A service was held at Community Synagogueof Rye and burial took place at Old Montefiore Cemetery. Jennifer Katz (nee Malik), a Mamaroneck resident, tragically on December 31, 2010 at age 49.

Born August 24, 1961 to William Malik & Michelene (Chiarello) Malik.  Jennifer received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Eastern Michigan University.  She worked in retail as the helpful  & friendly face at Larchmont Eye Associates.  She is the devoted mother ofStephanie Katz & Naomi Katz.  Cherished daughter of William Malik & Michelene Malik.  Loving sister of Dale Malik & John Malik.  Jennifer is also survived by her former husband, Ronald Katz.

DANIEL RICCIO, of Harrison, passed away December 28, 2010 atage 68.

Born September 9, 1942 in Port Chester, NY to John and Catherine(Zaccagnino) Riccio. He was the proprietor of DiBiccari & Riccio Construction,later known as Lavigna (Lari) & Riccio Construction. Daniel was also alifelong member, who then became Chief, of the Harrison Volunteer FireDepartment.  Survived by his beloved wifeAdele (Friedland), cherished children Barbara (Robert) Loewengart, Daniel Riccio,Jr., Lauren (Hugh) Furman, Michael (Therese) Lange, and Scott (Beth) Lange,adoring grandchildren Tyler, Jillian, Alex, James, Jack, Katelyn, Oliver, andNicholas, and a niece Gina and nephew John.

RosemarySchlotter passed, sadly, on Dec. 27^th. 

Rosemary was born on Oct. 13, 1939 in Port Chester toBernard T. and Mary Downey Ehret and lived her entire life in Mamaroneck.Sheattended the Academy of the Resurrection in Rye, and graduated with honors. Shealso attended  Katharine Gibbs Business School in Manhattan.Rosemarymarried George W. “Buddy” Schlotter on Oct. 17, 1960. He predeceased her in1987. She worked as Executive Assistant to the President of  RoscoLaboratories in Stamford , CT for over 35 years.  Rosemary loved boating,sitting by the water reading a good book, or doing the NY Times crosswordpuzzle. Her family and friends enjoyed her rapier wit and delightful sense ofhumor.  She shared her life-long love of knitting by teaching it to manyenthusiastic students. 

Rosemary is survived by her daughter KarenSchlotter of Mamaroneck, her son, Thomas ( Shelby ), and grandchildren TJ andJackson of Bethel, CT. She is also survived by her siblings, PatriciaSpiridakis of Idaho, Sue Harlan of Oregon, Mike of New York and Tom of NewMexico. ROBERT L. CONKLING, 92, died at home on Wednesday, December 22, 2010,
in Larchmont, NY.  The cause of death was prostate cancer. He was
married for 53 years to Sylvia Hoban Alexander Conkling, his true
love, who died in 2000. Bob and Sally met by chance one stormy night
on a night train from Pennsylvania Station to Philadelphia during WWII
(a story he loved to tell) and were married in East Hampton, NY in
‘47. They established their home in Larchmont, NY, in ‘54 where they
raised their six children.  Bob graduated from Manhattan College in
‘39, was a member of the men’s track team, became it’s captain, and
was inducted into the Manhattan College Hall of Fame in ‘91. Bob
served as executive officer in the United States Navy from ‘42-‘46
aboard the U.S.S. Tattnall and the U.S.S. Amick. He participated in
the Invasion of Southern France, was awarded numerous decorations,
including two bronze stars. He graduated from Fordham Law School in
‘49 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in ‘50. Bob spent his
entire career at the Manhattan law firm of Bleakley, Platt, et al.,
rising to managing partner.  He was a member of the Association of the
Bar of the City of New York; National Association of Railroad Trial
Counsel (President, ‘76-‘77); past president of the Larchmont Babe
Ruth League and the University Club of Larchmont. Bob is survived and
deeply missed by his family: Robert, Jr., Peter (Nancy), Christopher
(Ms. Simon McQueen), John, Jamie (Lillibeth), and Elise Galgano (Al)
and his four grandchildren: John Granata, James Granata, Heather
Conkling, Peter Conkling and one great grand-daughter: Jessica

Sandra Lilling, 80, of Port Chester passed away on December 14, 2010.  Sandy was born in Newark, NJ on May 24, 1930 to the late Barney and Gertrude Greenfield Goldstein. She is survived by her husband Walter and their two loving children, David and Glenda and two sisters in law, Gloria Lundenberg (Arnold) and Doreen Genkin (Harold). Antonio Antolino of Harrison passed away December 15, 2010 at home with his family at his side.  He was 78 years old.  He was born in Conza Campania, Avolino, Italy on September 12, 1932 to the now late Giuseppe and Angelarosa (Strazza) Antolino.  He came to America in 1967and worked as a mason-landscaper and also worked for the Town of Harrison Highway Dept for 10 years.  He was a member of the Giovanni Cabotto Club and the Andretta Society.  Beloved husband of Angelina (nee Mastrogiacomo) cherished father of Joseph, Carmela Corvino (John), Lisa Dutra (Chris) and TinaDezenzo (Philip) loving brother of Francesco Antolino, Pasqualina Mastrogiacomo, and the late Pasquale, Angelina Acocella, Antoinetta Cianciulliand Carmela Antolino, devoted grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 4.  Reposing on Saturday evening from 7 to 9 and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass Monday 10 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great R.C. Bell, Karen Zelfman, 63, of Larchmont, NY passed away on  December 15,
2010,  beloved wife of Sanford for 37 years; adoring and adored mother
of Catherine Bell and Maddie Ribble and Jonathan and Julie Bell;
devoted daughter of the late Esther Zelfman; loving sister of Barbara
and Norman Gross and Linda  Buxbaum and sister-in-law of Linda Bell.
Special aunt to her nieces and nephews.  Dear friend and esteemed
colleague. 

After beginning her legal career as an Assistant District
Attorney in Bronx County, Karen was, for more than 30 years, a highly
respected and beloved attorney in Westchester County, New York.  In
addition to her practice as a real estate attorney, she was intimately
involved in the areas of law which most affected women and children.
She served as a law guardian for more than 25 years and was
instrumental in the establishment of the Moderate Means Panel at the
Pace Women’s Justice Center to ensure representation of low and middle
income persons in matrimonial proceedings. 

In 2004, she was the first recipient of the New York State Bar Association’s Moderate Means
Award, and she served as a mentor, educator and advisor for that panel
since its inception.  Karen’s skill and commitment have been an
inspiration to her colleagues in collaborative divorce.  She served
with distinction as President of the Westchester Women’s Bar
Association, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Women’s Bar
Association of the State of New York which bestowed upon her the
Marilyn Menge Distinguished Service Award, and most recently as a
Director of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association Foundation. Her
standing in the profession was reflected in her appointment to the
Committee on Character and Fitness for the Ninth Judicial District.

Claire S. Nesdale, a Larchmont resident for more than 50 years, died in her sleep on Monday following a brief illness. She was 93 years old. She had lived in Darien for the past two years. Visiting hours will take place on Thursday, Dec. 9 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont. A Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine Church in Larchmont at 10:00 AM on Friday, Dec. 10.

Mrs. Nesdale was a social worker at the New York Foundling Hospital for many years. A 1938 graduate of the College of Mt. St. Vincent, she earned a Masters of Social Work degree from Fordham University in 1971.

 A communicant of St. Augustine R.C. Church, Mrs. Nesdale said her religious belief gave her “deep faith and amazing grace.” She raised her children with unconditional love and infinite patience, and is remembered by them with love and gratitude. 

 Her husband, Francis P. Nesdale, a teacher, died in 1995. She is survived by four children: a daughter, Linda C. Nesdale of Darien, CT, and three sons, John S. Nesdale of Larchmont, NY, Kenneth S. Nesdale of New York City, and Richard S. Nesdale, of Encinitas, CA. She had two grandchildren, Lea Nesdale of Larchmont and Shane Nesdale of Stamford CT. Her survivors include two sisters, Doris S. Ardith Campbell Dentzer, a resident of Alexandria, Va., died of lung cancer at theLarchmont home of her parents on Nov. 30. A former Larchmont resident, she was52.

 Diagnosed with small cell lung cancer in late2009, Ms. Dentzer emphasized the dangers of smoking to others as she underwenttreatment for her illness, often stopping smokers on the street to describe herillness and its effects. She received care primarily at Georgetown MedicalCenter and Stamford Hospital, with concluding home care provided by CalvaryHospice of the Bronx.

 Throughout her life, she was known for thedeep attention and concern she gave to friends and family, as well as tofavorite causes and organizations. The latter included women’s rights in theworkplace and the P.E.O. Sisterhood, an international women’s philanthropic andeducational organization. She was a member of its Chapter AF in the Washington,DC area.

 A daughter of William and Celia Dentzer, shewas born Aug. 18, 1958 in Arlington, Va. Moving to Larchmont with her family in 1969, she attended local schoolsand graduated from Mamaroneck High School in 1976. She received a B.A. from theUniversity of Vermont in 1980 and earned an M.B.A. in 1987 from the AmericanGraduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in Glendale, Ariz.

 Ms. Dentzer worked over the years in retailstore management and finance-related posts in New York City and Boca Raton,Fla.  After relocating to Alexandria in1998, she served as president of the Hunting Towers & Terrace Tenants’ Associationduring the construction of the new Woodrow Wilson Bridge across the PotomacRiver, which entailed destruction of one of its apartment buildings and newlease arrangements for all tenants.

 Surviving in addition to her parents are twobrothers, James  (wife, Holly) ofAshburn, Va. and William III of New York City; two sisters, Susan (husband,Charles Alston) of Chevy Chase, Md. and Emily (husband, Scott Rodi) of Lyme,N.H.; four nephews, William and Samuel Alston, James Jr. and Peter Dentzer;four nieces, Caroline, Elizabeth and Alice Rodi and Grace Alston; and severalaunts, uncles and cousins. Her 1988 marriage ended in divorce.

 A memorial service is to be held at theLarchmont Avenue Church at a date to be announced. Scott Pulik of Larchmont and formerly Brooklyn, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly onNovember 27, 2010 at age 35. Born  December 20, 1974 in Yonkers, N.Y., Scott was the beloved son of Beverly (Kmetz)McAllister (Larchmont, N.Y.) and Edward Pulik (Beltsville, Md.) and stepson toHarmon McAllister and Kathy Kines. 

 Scott graduated from Blind Brook High Schoolin Rye Brook, N.Y. in 1993 where he was on the Varsity Ski Team.  A 1997 graduate of Ithaca College (NY) hereceived a B.F.A. in Film and Photography as well as Ithaca’s Film Departmentsenior award for film editing.  He alsoplayed guitar in a local college rock band. In addition to skiing, snowboarding and music, Scott was a literaturebuff and enjoyed playing pool.  He tookgreat pride in his second career in carpentry.

 In addition to his parents and stepparents,Scott is survived by aunt Paula (Kmetz) Brunelli and uncles Peter Brunelli ofThornwood, N.Y., and  Michael Pulik ofBoca Raton, Florida;  cousins Richard,Eileen and JoAnn Brunelli; step brothers Shawn and Mark McAllister ( Seattle,Wa.) and Tim and Tyler Pulik (Beltsville).

Walter Baer of Harrison, died November 25, 2010 atage 84.  Born January 14, 1926 to Lester& Leah Baer.  Walter proudly servedin the US Navy during WWII.  For 48 yearshe worked in Sales for Bucilla Inc. and later went on to work for InnovationLuggage.  Walter was a member of theAmerican Legion as well as the Lions Club. He also was the Co-Founder of theHarrison Dad’s Baseball League.  Walteris the devoted husband of Betty. Cherished father of Les Baer (Gail), Kenneth Baer (Patricia) and GaryBaer (Jill).  Loving grandfather of Greg,Matthew, Michael, Bryan, Jackson, Elle & Eden and step grandfather ofDavid, Nicole & Tiffany.  He was alsothe proud great grandfather of Ava. Rosemarie Balancia (nee Varrichio) sadly and suddenly passedaway on November 8, 2010 at age 73. Rosemarie was born in the Bronx in 1937 to Alfred and Theresa (neeMartone) Varrichio. Rosemarie devoted her life to family, friends, and herchurch, St. Anthony of Padua in West Harrison, NY.  There, she served on the Ave Maria Guild, CYOand Festa committee for many years.  Shevolunteered at St. Agnes Children’s Hospital and their Meals on Wheelsprogram.  Rosemarie spent countless hoursvolunteering to help others in need. Beloved wife of the late Honorable Charles G. Fero and her husband of 51 years, George J. Patouhas. She was a resident ofNew Rochelle, NY, graduated from New Rochelle Schools and Packard Jr. College.Active in the community she was a member of the Saroptomist International,Zonta International, Woman’s Club, Garden Club of Larchmont and New RochelleShore Club. She was a volunteer at the JAL Golf Classic for 12 years and atSound Shore Medical Center. She was an avid reader and artist who exhibited heroil paintings at Westchester Outdoor Art Exhibit and Larchmont Pen Woman’sShow. She was also a Realtor Associate for 46 years and loved working with people.She is survived by her loving son George P. Patouhas of New Rochelle, NY. Shewas also survived by her nephews Steven Schumacher of Larchmont, NY, RobertSoleau of Marlborough, CT, Christopher Heyde of Las Vegas, NV and nieces KathyStickney of Sarasota, FL, Anne Jackson of Hopewell Junction, NY and Lynn Soleauof Colchester, CT. Also surviving are her godchildren Robert Soleau,Christopher Heyde, Debra Porco of Wappinger Falls, NY, Richard Jackson ofHopewell Junction, NY and Kathleen Greene of Darien, CT.
