‘Perp Walk’ Today of Slay Suspect
Reginald Powell, the ex-con picked up in Manhattan last Thursday with murder victim Jennifer Katz’s car and jewelry, will be arraigned in Mamaroneck Village Court today (Thursday) on burglary charges.
Powell, 54, is a suspect in the slaying in her Mamaroneck home Dec. 30 and has been held without bail for a week at Westchester County jail. He was on parole at the time of the burglary.
The Journal News reports a petition drive at the Strait Gate Church in Mamaroneck, where one of Powell’s brothers has been bishop for 26 years, helped Reggie Powell to win parole after serving more than 22 years for the killing of a Mamaroneck cab driver in New Rochelle in 1982.
