VILLAGE OF LARCHMONT

PENAL LAW ARREST

A Boston Post Rd business owner was arrested on 4/17 following an altercation with a parking enforcement officer. The man, owner of the Watercolor Cafe argued with a parking enforcement officer who was aattempting to issue a summons to his vehicle, and made physical contact with the officer, preventing her from issuing the summons. He was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration and released on his own recognizance.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

A West Avenue resident reported on 4/19 that, during the overnight hours of 4/17, someone damaged his vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot located at West Ave and North Ave.

VEHICLE & TRAFFIC LAW ARREST

A Washington State man was arrested on 4/23, and charged with operating with a suspended license after he was observed operating a vehicle on Willow Avenue. The vehicle registration was seized and the operator released on the issuance of an appearance ticket.

 

NEW ROCHELLE

PETIT LARCENY

Four Bronx men, ages 38, 37, 29 and 20, were arrested for stealing an Avatar DVD, three red bulls, two packages of Skittles candy, razors, dentyne gum and a five hour energy drink, all valued less than $100, from Costco.  The men allegedly concealed the items in their pockets. 1 Industrial Lane.  April 24

PETIT LARCENY

A 17 year-old Larchmont man was arrested for stealing beer, salsa and chip from Stop and Shop. Police say the suspect covered the items with green bags and attempted to leave the store without paying.  28 Harrision Street.  April23

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

A 22 year-old New Rochelle man was arrested for breaking a bathroom sink at the Don Coqui restaurant.  115 Cedar Street. April 24

ROBBERY

A 25 year-old New Rochelle man reports being attacked by12 unknown men who punched him and took his ATT cell phone valued at $150.  9 Division Street.  April 25

ROBBERY

A 35 year-old Mamaroneck man reports that while waiting for a taxi, two unknown men threw him to the ground, went through his pockets and took his wallet and $400 cash. The victim suffered minor bruises to his upper lip and right side of his forehead.  The victim says the suspects were around 18 years of age.  North Avenue and Main Street.  April 23

LARCENY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

A New Rochelle resident reports a cell phone taken from her vehicle.  590 Fifth Avenue.  April 24

LARCENY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

A New Rochelle resident reports her purse taken from a1995 Volvo parked unlocked in the driveway overnight.  18 Kewanee Road. April 24

RYE

LARCENIES FROM MOTOR VEHICLES

Items were taken from three unlocked cars at two different residences on Wappanocca Avenue overnight on April 24.

A laptop valued at $750, a laptop bag valued at $75 and a GPS valued at $300 were taken from one car.

At a neighboring home, $20 in cash and an IPod valued at $219 were taken from one car, and $10 in cash was taken from another.

THEFT FROM BUILDING

A computer was stolen from the Rye library during the morning of April 25

SUSPENDED LICENSE

A Stamford, CT, man got his 30th birthday off to a rough start when he was arrested for having a suspended license. Police said they witnessed the man asleep at the wheel of his parked 2006 Nissan Altima and woke the driver and asked for his license, which had been suspended. Police said they advised the man that he could not drive, and the man said he understood. Soon after, at almost 3 a.m., police observed the man allegedly driving at a high rate of speed on Station Plaza. He was pulled over and arrested. April 22

CYCLIST HIT

A male cyclist was struck by a car on Parsons Street but was not injured. April 20

 

TOWN OF MAMARONECK

A 62 year-old Greenwich CT man was charged with criminal possession of marijuana after allegedly smoking a marijuana cigarette while driving on Myrtle Boulevard. The man also had a small baggie of marijuana, police said.   April 20

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

A Boston Post Road resident said the air conditioners at her apartment were damaged.  No arrests have been made.  April 16

ASSAULT

One youth was arrested after an alleged fist fight with another in the parking lot of Hommocks Middle School. The victim allegedly had lacerations on his face. Police said no weapons were involved.  April 20

 

 

 

 

VILLAGE OF MAMARONECK

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA

A 17 year-old girl was charged with possession of marijuana at 8:54 p.m. at Mamaroneck High School.  1000 Boston Post Road.  April 20

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA

A 25-year-old Scarsdale man was charged with possession of marijuana on Concord Avenue at 10:42 p.m.   April 20

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Two brothers from New Rochelle were charged with disorderly conduct at 10:43 p.m. on Mamaroneck Avenue after their car was stopped by police. The 17 year-old passenger in the car allegedly began yelling and cursing at police and refused to follow instructions. When he was placed under arrest, the 19 year-old driver of the car allegedly became angry and proceeded to curse and yell at police. He, too, was charged with disorderly conduct.  April 21

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

The glass portion of a door was broken at Hampshire Country Club between 1 and 4 p.m.  No arrests have been made.  April 22

SUSPENDED LICENSE

A 46 year-old Mamaroneck man was arrested for having a suspended license after he was involved in a minor two-car collision at the corner of Fenimore Road and Waverly Avenue around.   April 22

LARCENY

A Mamaroneck woman told police that several boxes of merchandise for her retail business, including shoes and clothing, were taken from her storage bin at 746 Mamaroneck Avenue, sometime over the past month.The woman estimated the missing merchandise was worth thousands of dollars.  April 23

SUSPENDED LICENSE

A 66 year-old Mamaroneck woman was charged with driving with a suspended registration after her car was hit from behind on at 7:35 p.m.on Boston Post Road. She and a 29-year-old passenger were taken to Sound Shore Medical Center with minor injuries. April 23

NOISE VIOLATION

After receiving a noise complaint, police issued a violation to the owner of Molly Spillane’s at 11:35 p.m.  April 23

SUSPENDED LICENSE

A 33 year-old Mamaroneck man was arrested on multiple charges at the corner of Hillside Avenue at Jefferson Avenue. Police said the man passed through a stop sign and a red light. When he was pulled over, he allegedly produced a Virginia driver’s license. His license in New York, however, had been suspended.  April 24

OPEN CONTAINER VIOLATION

A 56 year-old homeless man was arrested after policeobserved him drinking alcohol at Ward Avenue Park at 11:29 p.m. April 24

INTOXICATED PERSON

Police received a report of an unruly man and a possible fight in progress at the Duck Inn at 4:17 p.m. According to police, the 39 year-old Mamaroneck man left before police arrived but returned later. At that time, he was escorted out by a patron but fell and cut his head. The man allegedly yelled at police, and EMS was called to transport him to Sound Shore Medical Center. April 24

CAR ACCIDENT

Three people were transported to Sound Shore Medical Center with minor injuries after a collision at the intersection of Park Avenue and Hunter Street just after 5 p.m. According to police, a 44 year-old Port Chester man failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a car carrying a 36 year-old New Rochelle woman and her 4 year-old daughter. The Port Chester man suffered a head injury, and the mother and daughter were transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure. April 24

LARCENY

Items were taken from two unlocked cars on Cedar Street sometime overnight on April 24. A GPS was taken from one car and $30 in quarters was taken from the other.  April 25

DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED

A 36 year-old Rye woman was charged with driving while intoxicated at 1600 Mamaroneck Avenue shortly after 12:30 a.m. According to police, the driver of the vehicle was switching lanes unsafely and almost struck a parked car. When police pulled the car over, they smelled what they believed to be alcohol on the driver’s breath. The woman refused a chemical test, and later was transported to Sound Shore Medical Center after complaining that she was having difficulty breathing. April 26

HIT AND RUN

A 19 year-old Mamaroneck man faces multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated, after leaving the scene of an accident on Halstead Avenue shortly after 7 a.m. According to police, the driver left the scene after hitting a parked car. He was also charged with driving without a license and drinking alcohol while driving. April 26

HIT AND RUN

A 29 year-old Elmsford man was charged with leaving the scene of an accident at 1427 E. Boston Post Road. April 26

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

A 56 year-old homeless man was charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to a report of intoxicated persons on Philips Park Road at 12:35 p.m. The man allegedly yelled at police when they arrived.  April 26
