CRIME OF THE WEEK- A man driving a green Suburban stopped for gas at the Sunoco Station at 540 Mamaroneck Avenue just after midnight. All was well until he drove off with the pump still attached, ripping it from the dispenser. The man was not located and no arrests were made. July 2, Mamaroneck Village.

 

 

 

 

VILLAGE OF MAMARONECK
A 12-year-old bicyclist was taken to Sound Shore Medical Center with an injured arm after he rode into a car stopped at an intersection on Harrison Avenue at about 9:30 a.m. June 29

HIT AND RUN
A Madison Street resident said an unknown vehicle struck a car parked on the street sometime overnight on June 28.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A car parked on 4th Street was scratched on both sides and the hood. June 29

OPEN CONTAINER
A 32-year-old Village man was arrested for open container at about 8:15 p.m. on Madison Street. June 29

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
A North Barry Avenue resident said an unknown male was urinating behind a fence outside the home at about 9 p.m.. The suspect left the area in a white van. June 29

DISORDERLY GROUP
A caller complained of four males arguing on Phillips Park Road at about 1:30 a.m. Police reported the condition was corrected. June 30

LARCENY
Steel beams, valued at thousands of dollars, were taken from a construction site on Prospect Avenue. June 30

DOMESTIC ARREST
A 28-year-old Yonkers man was transported to a hospital and arrested after kicking through the window of his mother’s car in the CVS parking lot at 1100 East Boston Post Road at about 11:15 a.m.. The matter was forwarded to Family Court. June 30

HIT AND RUN
A car parked at Harbor Island Park was struck by an unknown vehicle, which caused damage to the passenger-side doors. June 30

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A FORGED INSTRUMENT
Jennifer Toledo, an 18-year-old Queens woman, was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony, after using a counterfeit $100 bill at A & S Fine Foods on Mamaroneck Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. Police said she used the bill to purchase a small item and was apprehended on Mamaroneck Avenue a short time later. June 30

FIRE
A fire in a trash can in Harbor Island Park was extinguished by the Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department at about 10:30 p.m. June 30

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A Prospect Avenue woman said both of her unlocked cars were rummaged through at about midnight by an unknown person but nothing was missing. July 1

ASSAULT
A man flagged down police on East Boston Post Road at about 2:30 a.m. and said he injured his finger in a fight. The man said he was crossing the street and got into a verbal altercation that turned physical with a passenger in a car that pulled over. No arrests were made. July 1

LARCENY
A Trek mountain bike was stolen from a Prospect Avenue porch sometime between 11 p.m. on June 30 and 7:30 a.m. on July 1.

LARCENY
A parking meter was stolen from Phillips Park Road sometime between June 24 and June 30. July 1

OPEN CONTAINER
A 46-year-old Port Chester man was arrested for having an open container in Columbus Park at about 11:22 a.m. July 1

DOMESTIC ARREST
Joseph Vincent Pena, a 22-year-old Village man, was charged with criminal contempt, a felony, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal mischief after he entered Paramount Taxi on Halstead Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. and allegedly grabbed and screamed at his former girlfriend in front of her 3-year-old son. The man also allegedly threatened the dispatcher. Nobody was injured in the incident. July 1

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A window was broken in a car parked at Starbucks at 1030 West Boston Post Road between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Nothing was taken from the car. July 1

ARREST
A 23-year-old New Rochelle man was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 1020 Mamaroneck Avenue at about 6 p.m. July 1

ANIMAL COMPLAINT
Youths reported hearing animal noises at about 11:15 p.m. in a wooded area on Keeler Avenue. Police checked the area with negative results. July 1

FIGHT IN PROGRESS
Police received a report of a fight in progress at Applebee’s at 640 East Boston Post Road just after midnight. The offenders were gone upon police arrival. July 2

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A Carroll Avenue resident said two cars that were parked in front of his house were keyed. July 2

FIRE
A Stanley Avenue resident was issued a summons for burning brush at about 4:30 p.m. The fire was extinguished. July 2

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
A Prospect Avenue resident reported a strong odor of marijuana coming from a neighbor’s home at about 4:45 p.m. Police said the report was unfounded. July 2

AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT
Four people were transported to Sound Shore Medical Center with minor injuries after a car accident on West Boston Post Road at about 11:30 p.m. July 2

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE
A 20-year-old New Rochelle man and an 18-year-old Village woman were arrested for drinking in a parked car on Cove Road at about 11:30 p.m. July 2

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A 57-year-old Village woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in Harbor Island Park at about 1:45  p.m. Police said they received a complaint of an intoxicated person nearly falling in the water in the West Basin.Police said the woman was "very combative," trying to kick and bite a police officer. She also allegedly spat at an officer. She was transported to Sound Shore Medical Center. July 3

A car parked on Mamaroneck Avenue was struck by an unknown car, which caused damage to the left quarter panel and bumper at about 2:30 p.m. July 3

AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT
Two people were taken to Sound Shore Medical Center with minor injuries after an accident on North Barry Avenue at about 4:15 p.m. 

NOISE COMPLAINT
Police received a complaint of a loud noise and a possible dispute at about 10:45 p.m. on Waverly Avenue. Police located a man who said he was upset about the outcome of a soccer game. July 3

YOUTH COMPLAINT
Police received a complaint about a large group of youths gathering at 1200 West Boston Post Road. Police dispersed the group at about 11:30 p.m. July 3

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
A Richbell Road woman said her unlocked car was entered but nothing was taken. July 4

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A Center Avenue man said an unknown man punched his car while walking on Dillon Road at about 10:30 p.m., causing about $125 in damage. June 28

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A COMPUTER
A Forest Avenue man said somebody was using his personal email account and sending out requests for money. June 29

GRAND LARCENY
Michael P. DiMarino, 20, and Nicholas C. O’Rourke, 21, both of West Harrison were charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, for allegedly stealing a woman’s purse and its contents at Stop & Shop on June 28. The contents were valued at about $2,700.  They were arrested on June 30.

BURGLARY
A Glenn Road resident said a necklace, valued at $100, and about $40 in cash were taken from his home between 6 p.m. and midnight. The rear door to the house was found open. No arrests have been made. June 30

LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT
A Garit Lane woman said her car was struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked in the Nautilus Diner parking lot at about 8 p.m. July 1

BURGLARY
A Murray Avenue residence was entered sometime between June 29 and July 1 and unknown items were taken. Entry was gained through a living room window. July 1

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A Harmon Drive woman said there was a small hole, possibly caused by a BB or pellet gun, in the glass inset of her front door. July 3

LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT
A New Rochelle man said his car was struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked in the CVS parking lot at 2444 Boston Post Road at about 11:30 a.m. July 4

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A window was broken in a vacant property at 1380 Boston Post Road sometime between midnight on July 4 and 10:45 a.m. on July 5.

RULES OF THE ROAD
A 19-year-old White Plains man was charged with reckless driving and driving with a suspended license after police, returning from County Jail, observed him driving aggressively on Interstate 287 at about 1:30 p.m.  June 29

A 19-year-old Harrison man was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding and unsafe movement of a motor vehicle at about 7:45 p.m. on Boston Post Road. June 30

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A Nursery Lane resident said someone broke five panes of glass on a dog kennel building on their property sometime overnight. June 30

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
A Rye woman said she returned from vacation to find that someone had been moving her mirror. July 1

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A Rye resident said somebody spray-painted graffiti on his white box truck parked at 150 Theodore Fremd Avenue sometime between June 29 and July 1. July 2

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A 40-year-old New York City man was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief at the Rye Hospital Center on Boston Post Road at about 5 p.m.. A front-desk employee said the man was angry over the distribution of medicine and threatened patients and staff and broke a fax machine, a fire extinguisher and a pay phone. The man allegedly used the fire extinguisher to break one of the windows. July 3

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A 31-year-old Bethel, Conn., woman was transported to Greenwich Hospital at about 2 a.m. on July 3. Police received a complaint from a Marriott employee about a naked and highly intoxicated woman in the lobby. The employee said the woman walked through the front door and said she couldn’t find her room. When police arrived, she was wrapped in what appeared to be a curtain and said she thought she was in a Holiday Inn in New York City with her husband. Police checked the occupants of the rooms at the Marriott, and none of the names matched the names she was giving police. Police eventually contacted the woman’s father, who agreed to meet her at the hospital. July 3

YOUTH COMPLAINT
A police officer broke his wrist while responding to a call of a large fight at the Shenorock Shore Club bar at 475 Stuyvesant Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. Police said the fight had been broken up upon their arrival, and a very large group of youths were on the beach. The matter was forwarded to the youth detectives. July 3

FRAUD
A resident said somebody was making unauthorized charges on one of his credit cards. July 5

A Rye woman said her car was struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked in the Playland Market Parking lot sometime during the evening.. July 5

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A Sherbrooke Road resident said four youths driving an ivory four-door sedan got out of the car and threw eggs at their home at about 8:30 p.m.. There was no damage to the property. Police searched the area but did not find the suspects. June 28

A Tunstall Road resident said two passengers in two vehicles threw eggs at his window at about 9 p.m.. There was no damage to the property. Police searched the area but did not find the suspects. June 28

The passenger-side window was broken and a purse was taken from a 2006 Lexus parked at Scarsdale High School between 6 and 8 p.m. No arrests were made and the matter is under investigation. June 29

NOISE COMPLAINT
A Springdale Road resident complained of a large group at a neighbor’s home making a lot of noise at about 10:30 p.m. The homeowner said her son had friends visiting and they were on their way out. June 29

LARCENY
The drivers-side front window was broken and an iPod was taken sometime overnight from a 2009 Honda parked in a Hampton Road driveway. No arrests were made and the matter is under investigation. June 30

A cell phone, a GPS and $20 in cash were taken sometime overnight from an unlocked 2004 BMW parked in a Brite Avenue driveway. No arrests were made and the matter is under investigation. June 30

A Hampton Road resident reported a suspicious male walking a dog on Hampton Road at about 12:30 p.m. Police were unable to locate the man. June 30

A River Road resident said there was a prowler at her home at about 12:15 a.m. Police searched the exterior and interior of the residence and found it to be in good order. July 1

FIRE
The Scarsdale Fire Department requested assistance on a suspicious car fire on Ridgecrest West at about 10 a.m.. The owner stated that his ignition had been broken for two years and he had been using a screwdriver to start his red 1986 Chevrolet. The fire department determined that neither the fire nor the ignition were suspicious. July 1

HIT AND RUN
A Vanderbilt Road resident said he was involved in a hit-and-run accident in the traffic circle in the rear lot at Edgewood School at about 4 p.m. There were no injuries. July 1

NOISE COMPLAINT
A Nelson Road resident complained of a group of youths making noise at Edgewood School at about 11:45 p.m. Patrol found a small group of kids sitting in the parking lot. They left without incident. July 1

NOISE COMPLAINT
A Hampton Road resident said a group of youths were making noise on the Fox Meadow School grounds just after midnight. Police found the youths and observed no violations. Police asked the youths to move along, and they did without incident. July 2

LOST PROPERTY
A Wayside Lane resident said she lost an earring, valued at $5,000, sometime during the morning of June 30. She said she has retraced her steps but has been unable to find it. July 2

Police observed an obscene gesture painted on a supply shed at Edgewood School . July 2

A house under construction on Chesterfield Road was vandalized sometime between 11 a.m. on July 1 and 1:30 p.m. on July 2. Police said walls were kicked in and a chandelier was broken.  July 2

A Willow Lane resident said there was "extremely" loud music in the area at about 3:30 p.m. Police heard no loud music upon their arrival. July 2

A Rugby Lane resident said a car entered her neighbor’s driveway, damaged a car window, and then fled at about 11 p.m. Police said the suspects used an address sign from a neighbor’s yard to break the windshield on a 2009 Honda. July 2

AUTO ACCIDENT
A 79-year-old man was taken to the hospital after he lost control of his car as he was backing out of his driveway. Police said the man’s shoe fell off and he was unable to apply the brakes. As a result, his car crossed the street, ran over bushes and ran into a Carthage Road house at about 10:45 a.m. July 3

LARCENY
An Olmsted Road man said an unknown person removed a volunteer fireman’s identification and badge from his car while it was parked in his driveway. July 3

HAZARDOUS CONDITION
A caller reported a stone wall hanging over the roadway by a wire in the northbound lane of Post Road across from a gas station on Popham Road at about 3 p.m.. Police contacted Con Edison and the Highway Department, who arrived to make emergency repairs.

NOISE COMPLAINT
A caller complained of loud people on Brookby Road at about 12:30 a.m. Police found the youths and advised them to continue on their way in a quiet manner. All quiet upon police departure. July 4

A caller complained of loud music in a Griffen Avenue home at about 1 a.m. The homeowner turned off the music. July 4

A caller complained of loud music at about 1:45 a.m. A Hutchinson Avenue homeowner was having an adult party and turned off the music. July 4

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
A Nelson Road resident reported a cab parked in front of her home with two people arguing inside it at about 2:30 a.m. Police spoke with the taxi driver, who said he was having a disagreement with a customer regarding the fare. No arrests were made. July 4

LARCENY ATTEMPT
A Birchall Drive worker said somebody attempted to remove objects from his van. July 4

HAZARDOUS CONDITION
A caller reported a large branch hanging in the roadway on Saxon Woods Road near Boulder Brook Road at about 11:45 a.m. Road. Police found the branch hanging near wires and closed the Saxon Woods Road between Crawford Lane and Boulder Brook Road. Con Edison responded and corrected the condition. The road was reopened. July 4

HIT AND RUN
A Fenimore Road resident said his Porsche 911 was struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked at Crossway Field near the tennis courts at about 5:45 p.m. July 4

SUSPICIOUS PERSON
A Post Road resident said she saw two or three black males in the rear of her property at about 8:30 p.m. Police found a man, who required assistance getting to the bus and said he only wanted to sit down. Police said the man did not appear to have any criminal intentions and left the property without incident. The caller said he was, in fact, the only suspect she saw. July 4

LARCENY
A Black Birch Lane resident said his wallet and blackberry were stolen from his car parked in front of Zachys Wine and Liquor on East Parkway earlier in the evening. July 4

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A caller said youths, possibly with fireworks, were in Wynmor Park at about 2:30 a.m. Police observed a small group of youths, who fled on foot upon police arrival. July 5

ANIMAL COMPLAINT
The manager of Fenway Golf Club said there were numerous coyotes on the grounds at about 5:15 p.m. Police were unable to locate the animals. July 5
