Larchmont

 

VEHICLE & TRAFFIC LAW ARREST

A Bronx woman was arrested on 12/12, and charged with operating with a suspended registration and a suspended registration on Palmer Ave.  The vehicle was impounded, and the operator released on an Appearance Ticket.

AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT

A Boston Post Road resident reported on 12/14 that she has been receiving harassing telephone calls from an individual known to her.

LARCENY

A Beach Ave resident reported on 12/15 that on 12/11 someone stole her bicycle, valued at $100, from Lot 3.

LARCENY

A Mayhew Ave resident reported on 12/17 that someone opened three credit card accounts in her name and subsequently charges goods in excess of $900 thereon.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

A New Rochelle man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on 12/17 after being observed urinating in Lot 1, during the mid-day hours, by a Larchmont Police Sergeant. The man was released on his own recognizance.

 

 

Rye

 

12/14/09 – Criminal Mischief, 17 Harding Dr – A resident heard an unknown party throwing rocks at her car, which was parked in her driveway at the stated address.  When she went to check it out, she noticed that both of her side windows were smashed in.

 

 

12/16/09 – Criminal Mischief – 413 Midland Ave, 2 rront tires of a Land Rover were slashed overnight when they were parked in the driveway of the stated address.

 

 

12/18/09- Theft from a Building, 101 Theall Rd – A resident at the Osborn retirement community reported noticing large amount of cash taken from her wallet, which was kept all day in her bedroom on the night stand.

 

12/21/09 – Theft from a Building, 101 Theall Rd – A resident at the Osborn retirement community reported that her coat had been stolen while she was eating dinner at the home’s bistro between the hours of 6:20pm and 7:50 pm.  She last saw it in the coat closet.

12/19- Thief caught in the act vows to return: LoHud

 

12/14 – Suspicious Item, 2 Ogden Rd – A resident found a newly burned bike near a dumpster at the Scarsdale Synagogue.  He knew it had just been burned because of its smell.  Police canvassed the area to see if there was anyone suspicious around, but the area was empty.

 

 

12/15 – Aggravated Harassment, 16 Edgewood Rd – A resident reported that she was receiving lewd pictures on her cell phone from an unknown number.  She stated that she would first try and get the number blocked, and if that did not work, she would file a police report.

 

12/15 – Suspicious Crowd – A caller from News12 reported that a crowd had gathered in front of Scarsdale High School in response to a possible UFO sighting. Upon arrival, patrol noticed no crowd, and no UFO.  Everything appeared in order. 

 

 

12/16 – Suspicious Person, 24 Tompkins Rd – A resident was home when she noticed an unknown male subject approach her house in a silver vehicle, possibly a Saab, which he parked in her driveway.  He then proceeded around back and knocked at the rear door.  The male was described as young and wearing a black sweatshirt with a red lining.  The resident called the police while the man was knocking, but before they got there he had already taken off.  Patrol canvassed the area, but could find no one matching the description

 

 

12/17 – Suspicious Activity, 1 Depot Pl. – A middle aged black male was seen pacing back and forth and talking to himself on the train platform.  He seemed to be possibly intoxicated.  When police arrived, the man had left, and a canvas of the area yielded negative results.
