Rumorville: Tasti ? (and Petco, Laser, Cuts and more…)

Nope! According to the Village, it’s a YogoBerry going into that spot on the Boston Post Road formerly Valet Cleaners.

next to Local Heros, across from the Larchmont Village Hall.

A Loop scooper reported a tasti D Lite. Close, but no sundae.

Also- look for Najia Rohlf’s new aethestique opening around May 15 on Mamaroneck Avenue and Mt. Pleasant, next to Milieu….

….and reader Sarah Coe tells us on May 8, Magic Cuts for Kids opens… Gabriela, who used to work at Sharkey’s, is opening a new shop at 159 Main Street New Rochelle, opposite Salesian High School. The phone no. is 914 813 8142.

and….here it is….as we told you in March, Petco is looking at the old Duane Reade on Boston Post Road…over the last 8 or so years, the building has been empty most of the time.

This is from minutes the agenda for the Town of Mamaroneck Planning Board hearing on May 12, 2010.

  1. The Petco item is from the Planning Board Agenda for May 12th- not the minutes. Can’t have minutes for a meeting that hasn’t been held yet.
editrix yup, you’re right. (leave it to a lawyer to see that 🙂 )

  2. Please, say no to Petco!! I have no interest in that Central Avenue feeling. Plus another pet supply store is newly opened on the BPR. No need for another.

  3. Well “L” .. what would you prefer ? an empty store or a flourishing business with people working ?

  4. Thank god. We’re finally getting some practical shopping in the area. Tired of seeing restaurants and banks. Even more tired of over-priced “specialty stores”. Really, how many $3.00 brownies do we need?
