Snow Story

A special weather statement for Southern Westchester was issued about 2:00 om Sunday as the first snowstorm of the season began to cover the area.

It predicted the New York region could expect from 11 to 16 inches of snow between 6 a.m. Sunday and 6 p.m. Monday. Forecasters say the heavy snow and winds will cause extremely dangerous driving conditions across the area into Monday. The Town of Mamaroneck, the City of New Rochelle and other municipalities have declared snow emergencies.

With children on winter break there should be excellent sledding. Hopefully Trader Joe’s won’t run out of paper bags as they did one year ago. And there’s always January here  to look forward to. And decorating with fur (please use fake.)
