Sports: Benefit Hockey Game and Mamaroneck Baseball
Friday night’s "Fire on Ice" benefit hockey game between the Village and Town of Mamaroneck Fire Departments
at the Hommocks Rink raised an amount the family did not wish disclosed for the family of Rich Rasor. The Village team was delayed fighting a renovation house fire in Orienta.
In Mamaroneck baseball Friday, Mount Vernon High School was closed due to a wall collapse but MHS went over the wall anyway. Despite Mount Vernon’s early lead, the Tigers could not be stopped. With pitching from Ryan Gerspach and relief from Sam Wallach the Tigers pulled away with a win of 12 – 5. Rich Dropkin also managed to hit a bomb on top of the school.–Ben Kupferberg
