Tequila Sunrise

Tequila Sunrise  theLoop has two restaurant reviewers. One calls this the best Mexican in the area.  I call it a nightmare. The Mariachi is so loud you cannot hear the person next to you. Usually crowded at the bar. We both agree, if you go, get the guacamole prepared tableside.  Their excellent margaritas can be ordered by the pitcher.  You’ll need them.  145 Larchmont Avenue, Larchmont. 914.834.6378 tequilasunrise

  1. Tequila Sunrise leaves much to be desired. Food is not only flat but overpriced. The open air doors reveal their bar display to the street-something I don’t appreciate kids seeing on their walk home from school! Also draws a noisy and raunchy gang at night. Always love the bikers too while I’m dining on the sidewalk—-may I have a side of Roaring Thunder please? We rate this restaurant mucho disgusto.

  2. My husband and I went to Tequila Sunrise for the first time in probably 10 years and we had a very different experience. We thought the food was quite good, we didn’t order the traditional tex-mex stuff, but off their special menu. It was very cheap, with plenty of left-overs for another meal. We were pleasantly surprised. Not a great restaurant, but okay for an inexpensive local place.
