Town and Village of Mamaroneck firefighters will face-off on the ice for the first Fire on Ice fundraiser hockey game this Friday. The friendly competition will benefit the Rasor Family Trust 2010 fund. The game will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Hommocks Ice Rink in Larchmont to commemorate the recent passing of Richard Drew Rasor Jr.  Donations will be accepted at the door.

From now until April 19th, you can help out Mamaroneck High School club The Clothes Closet by donating new or gently used clothing to benefit community members in need at the following locations:

On Saturday, Krigin Photography Studio in Rye is hosting a Matilda Jane Trunk Show and Clothes for Haiti event from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Socks, underwear, sheets, lightweight clothing, shorts, blankets or throws, sneakers, t-shirts, and sandals to send to Haiti will be collected; summer, children’s and baby clothing is especially needed. Matilda Jane clothing will also be available for purchase.

Larchmont’s Pet Pantry Warehouse will have a Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Come out and meet some of the county’s adoptable canines!

The Larchmont Temple Brotherhood is holding a Blood Drive on Sunday from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Coffee, juice, bagels, donuts and newspapers will be provided to donors free of charge. All potential donors should make an appointment by calling (914) 833-2866 and are required to bring a photo ID and present the last four digits of their social security number.

The 4th Annual Autism Information Fair will take place on Sunday at 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. White Plains County Center. This free event is geared towards parents, therapists, educators, health care professionals and advocates of autism awareness. There will be more than 75 stations offering information and advice to visitors, along with lectures and opportunities to meet with members of the Westchester County Autism Advisory Committee. There will be an on-site activity room to occupy the kids and free childcare available.


The Ajkun Ballet Theater Company presents Sleeping Beauty this Friday at 7:30 p.m., along with 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. All performances will take place at New Rochelle High School. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at-the-door or in advance:

Westchester animal rescue groups Cat Assistance and the Pet Adoption League are hosting fundraiser The Wags & Whiskers Gala on Friday at the Coveligh Club in Rye. Starting at 7 p.m., the gala will include dinner, wine and an auction. $75 per person.

Local organizations I CARE and HOPE are hosting An Evening Affair of Hope and Care, a fundraiser and dinner event at the Larchmont Avenue Church this Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy Italian cuisine along with a silent auction by local artists, kids’ activities and other opportunities to support the charities. $15 adults; $5 children–$40 max per family.



The Mamaroneck Indoor Farmers’ Market runs from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. this Saturday. In addition to the regular produce available for purchase, the market is celebrating Earth Day this week. Representatives from the Pelham Art Center will be on hand from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. to guide visitors in creating their own person art.

Scarsdale’s Farmers’ Market takes place in the Village Hall’s lower level parking lot this Saturday from 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. You’ll find local and organic products like wine, meat, produce and jams each week.
