Happy Father’s Day on Sunday! Here are a few ways to keep Dad, and the rest of the family, happy all weekend long.














This Friday, the seasonal re-opening of the New Rochelle Farmers’ Market kicks off at Library Green Park, bigger than ever. The Farmers’ Market will take place every Friday through November from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. New vendors include Gajeski Produce, Tierra Farm and Wright Farm. Celebrate with Community Markets and the City of New Rochelle.


Enjoy Celtic Sunday this weekend at Molly Spillane’s Pub in Mamaroneck. There will be live music with Padraig Allen from 4 – 6 p.m., along with great Irish food and beer.




Come out to the Larchmont Library this Friday for Chess Face-Off Fridays, geared for ages 6 – 18. Starting at 3:30 p.m., all are welcome to enjoy an hour of laid-back chess with peers in the non-fiction section. All materials will be provided.


Celebrate Father’s Day a day early this Saturday with Groove in Larchmont at 10 a.m. JAMS is the ultimate interactive musical experience for the whole family—including singing, dancing and laughing out loud. Geared for ages 6 months – 5 years. Preregister online. $15/first child, $10/each additional sibling.


New Rochelle Humane Society is holding a Cat Adoption Day at Larchmont Floral Designs this Saturday from 12 – 2 p.m. Come out and meet adoptable kittens and cats, and pick up a bouquet for Father’s Day while you’re there.




Paragon Fine Art Events is bringing the Fine Art Festival on Saturday and Sunday to Chase Rd, Harwood Ct, Spencer Pl, and Boniface Cir in the village of Scarsdale, June 19-20, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Artisans from the region and across the country will be showing and selling everything from ceramics to jewelry, photography and wood.


There will be a Craft Fair on Saturday at the 1851 James House Mansion in Sleepy Hollow. Artisans will display their work, and tours of the historic mansion will be available. Light refreshments will be available for purchase.


The closing reception for The Transformed Image show at the Mamaroneck Artists Guild will include a walk and talk, this Saturday from 3 – 5 p.m. Artists Annette Lieblein and Julia Sperry will be in attendance.


The Clearwater Great Hudson River Revival at Croton Point Park. Live music, storytelling, puppetry, crafts, boat rides, and green-living vendors. This year, performers include Steve Earle, Shawn Colvin, Joan Osborne, the Felice Brothers, Steve Forbert, and Mike Doughty, among others. The festival takes place on June 19 and June 20. Details
