MAMARONECK

 

The Village of Mamaroneck’s Firemen’s Carnival is running every evening (until 11 or 12 at night) through Monday at Harbor Island Park. Be sure to stop by and enjoy the tons of rides, food vendors, games and more! Armbands are $25 a piece and give you access to all rides and games every day but Sunday. www.village.mamaroneck.ny.us

 

Fireworks will be shot off at Harbor Island Park on July 4th just after 9 p.m.

 

Single? Molly Spillane’s is hosting a Fourth of July Dinner and Fireworks event, starting with cocktails and appetizers at 5:30 p.m. on July 4. A three-course dinner will be served starting at 6:30 p.m., followed by a group walk to Harbor Island Park to watch the fireworks. $70 per person. www.mollyspillanespub.com

 

LARCHMONT

 

Start off your Fourth with a bang at Flint Park this Sunday. The annual Fourth of July Races kick off at 10 a.m. Be sure to bring the whole family—there are races geared for every ability and age group. www.villageoflarchmont.org

 

From 7:15 p.m. until the fireworks begin, the Dixie Dandies are giving a free concert in Manor Park. No picnicking allowed! The Fireworks will begin around 9 p.m. www.villageoflarchmont.org

 

RYE

 

The Rye Free Reading Room and the Leaders of Tomorrow Educational Enrichment Organization present A Patriotic Program of Kids’ Activities, Speeches and Song on Saturday, July 3. Starting at 10 a.m., younger children are invited to enjoy activities inside and out of the library. There are plenty of scheduled activities throughout the day – including the unfurling of the Rye American Legion’s giant 48-star flag. Refreshments will be served. www.ryelbrary.org

 

Rye’s Marshlands Conservancy is holding a Fourth of July Independence Hike starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Follow clues to learn about things relating to Independence Day at the site. It’s a fun way to learn some history for the historic occasion. www.westchestergov.com/parks

 

Rye Playland will be showing a Fireworks display on Friday, Sunday and Monday, each beginning at 9 p.m. Come out to the boardwalk to get a great view. The Playland Pier will be closed during the weekend to set up for the fireworks. www.ryeplayland.org

 

NEW ROCHELLE

 

New Rochelle’s Hudson Park is shooting off its set of Fireworks at 8 p.m. on July 4. There will be live music in the park beforehand, starting at 6:30 p.m. www.newrochelleny.com

 

SCARSDALE

 

Scarsdale’s Municipal Pool Complex is holding a Fireworks Spectacular on Friday at 9:15 p.m. Members only permitted until 5 p.m. $2 fee at the gate.
